Meet Pearl...

BH promised me that we could get another dog just as soon as I was working closer to home...well on Friday I finished my long haul commute ready to take up my new post in September, so on Saturday I kept him to his word!

Pearl is a tenacious Jack Russell pup. She's only nine weeks old but she's already showing us what shes made of. When we first introduced her to Arthur she nipped him on the nose just to let him know she's no push over!

We were worried that they might not get on, or that he might stand on her, but so far so good. He's really taken to being a big brother and he's really gentle with her. I'm not sure who's going to be leading who astray!

  6. Thanks everyone - the new arrival is settling in well (after eating my new shoes!) She realy is tiny next to Arthur and we have to watch that he doesnt squash her but he's really stepped up to his new role and is very caring with her - I even think its calmed him down but I darent speak too soon - fingers crossed!

MrsNesbitt Hi! I think blogging is definitely a teacher thing - there's lots of us. Ive been teaching since 96 and moved back upto Yorkshire to take up Headship - blogging about gardening and cakes and dogs and whatnot is my meditation after spending the day being very grown up!

  7. This pooch is an absolute treasure. Had the immense pleasure of meeting Pearl today and nearly considered dog-napping her. The little cutie fell asleep on me. It's decided...I need a dog. And I shall call him Colin.
